As part of its commitment to skill development and workforce empowerment, APL Apollo launched the Ujjwal Initiative in 2021 in association with the Indian Plumbing Skills Council (IPSC). This program focuses on enhancing the technical capabilities of plumbing professionals by providing structured training and formal certification aligned with national skill standards. The initiative aims to train and certify approximately 1,500 plumbers, strengthening their professional expertise and improving employment opportunities.

Under this program, participants undergo specialized training designed to upgrade their technical knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of modern plumbing systems and products. Upon successful completion, each plumber receives a Government of India–IPSC–NSDC–Skill India certificate, offering official recognition of their professional competence under the national Skill India framework. In addition, they are awarded an Industry Recognition Certificate and Skill Card jointly issued by the brand, IPSC, and Skill India, certifying that they are fully trained in the use and application of APL Apollo products.

Through the Ujjwal Initiative, APL Apollo not only supports individual career growth but also contributes to building a skilled workforce that strengthens industry standards, promotes quality workmanship, and supports the nation’s vision of sustainable skill development and economic progress.
