INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR AGRICULTURE PIPING SYSTEM
STEP 1: CUTTING
Use a hand saw to cut a pipe and make sure to cut the pipe at the right angle from all sides. There should not be any burr on the edges.
STEP 2: DEBURRING AND RIDGE REMOVAL
Use a deburring knife or abrasive paper to remove all burrs and ridges on the inner and outer edges of the pipe.
STEP 3: CLEANING
Remove the dust, dirt, oil, moisture, and other foreign material during installation by using dry cloth.
STEP 4: CHAMFERING
The pipes need to be chamfered from the outer side after cutting. Give 2mm wide, 150 chamfers on spigot end.
STEP 5: DRYFIT TEST
Insert the pipe end into the socket of the next pipe to check that interference occur at about 1/3 to 2/3 of the socket depth. Perform this activity before applying solvent cement.
STEP 6: APPLICATION OF SOLVENT CEMENT
Mark the pipe length and apply a liberal coat of solvent cement via brush at the correct place.
STEP 7: JOINTING
The pipe should be pushed inside the fitting properly to maintain equality from all sides. Wipe off excess solvent cement. Hold both pipes for 2 minutes to attain the perfect joint.
Things to remember:
- Pipeline installment should be done with proper alignment along with necessary clamps.
- Do pressure testing before concealing work.
- Pressure testing might be carried out after a curing period of 24 hours.
